Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner Review

HELLO! Sorry for being boring and not uploading a blog post for the past month or so, just with all the exams I couldn't find the time. I'm glad to say that exams are finally over so now I can catch up with some blogging! So, I've had my eyes on the Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner for ages. I'd seen it all over youtube and I thought it looked great but I never got round to ordering it for some reason...

I was just having a general facetime call with a friend - Lily. (Here's the link to her blog - take a look) And she just showed me these two magazines she had got and I was like oh my god, that's an Eyeko FREEBIE, I need that magazine now! So I went to Tesco literally the day after and picked up my new best friend!

It took a bit of rummaging to find the one I was looking for, because there is a choice of either navy/black. But I got there in the end and I was absoloutely made up that I had got a £12 eyeliner for £2 - BARGAIN!! (and a couple of magazine extras of course)

(A little Prada Candy Florale tester patch, that I used, smells lush!)

This eyeliner is absoloutely perfect for when you're in a rush it's just so quick and easy to apply. It gives a great performance, looks bold and works a treat to the eyes, just fab!  This is the best eyeliner I have used so far - I'm very impressed!

So this goes to you Lily - thankyou!;) You have got me back into the world of mags and best of all you get a couple of high brand freebies aswell! Look out for next months issue of Glamour that's on sale on July 7th and you get to choose between 4 Clinique gifts!! (Super Strawberry & Woppin' Watermelon Chubby Sticks, High Impact Mascara or Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion +

May Must Haves

Ok, so these are the main items that I've been lusting over recently! I never knew how obsessed I was with turquoise/mint green until I did this blog post! (the majority of these items are going to be turquoise/mint).

So first up we have the Adele Dress from Saboskirt, for $52 which can be found here. I love this dress, it looks so good on tanned skin because it's a bright colour - I definately need this for my holidays!

I don't usually like denim jackets but this Acid Wash Retro Parka from LoveClothing looks so good, I love the whole look! This costs £60 and can be found here.

Wow, I have been searching for shoes like these and in this colour for a while now but haven't seemed to find any that I like and then I come across these beauties on somebody's instagram! OMG WHY DONT PRIMARK HAVE A WEBSITE?! They're just my style - perfect!!

These shorts look so casual, yet I love them! Perfect for lounging about in, or wearing them on a trip to the beach! From Saboskirt found here for $48.

Now this has got to be my favourite bag EVER!! It's so gorgeous, Grafea you've done a good job! This costs £180, but it is amazing quality leather so no wonder it costs that much. This is the reason why I need money so urgently, if I did I would have these bags in every colour possible, especially the pastel colours! I can't post the link for this exact bag because I can't seem to find it online, but here is the link to the website so you can check out the other colours. You can also follow them on Instagram to keep up to date with all of their collections! @Grafea

Charlotte Fisher - my favourite all time fashion blogger! I have used her picture because she shows off this colourful Marble Print Shirt a lot better than what it looks like on the website! It is from BankFashion and can be found here for £20.

I'm in love with these Annie Mint Acid Wash jeans from PrettyLittleThing which can be found here for £28. They look so summery but in summer it's probably not ideal clothing so they're perfect for spring time.

That's everything I wanted to share with you, I hope you enjoyed reading! Amelia x

Beach waves: how to

Hi peeps. I've been trying to achieve the beach waves look for absoloutely ages and I hadn't managed to crack it up until now, as my hair is really thin and doesn't hold any shape at all. I recently found this technique on youtube and it actually works for me, so if you have thin/fine hair then this is for you!

For best results, use a bit of dry shampoo just to add a little bit of extra volume.

Make sure you brush the product through your hair so you don't end up with white patches everywhere!

Then you want to take a salt spray (if you haven't got one you can make your own! Just simply get a bottle with a pump, fill it with water and add a teaspoon of salt to it. I used a body spray that I didn't use and emptied it out) and just spray it all over your hair, making sure you cover every section. Be careful when using salt spray because it damages your hair by drying it out. So if you want to use it everyday make sure you use a clarifying shampoo to get rid of all the salt and then use a deep conditioner to rehydrate the hair.

Then take a section of hair (whatever size you want or you can choose different sized pieces) twist it round like this, and secure it somewhere on your head with a grip. If it feels dry then give it another squirt with salt spray.

Once you have pinned up the whole of your hair, leave it to dry. Take the grips out, get your hair dryer and dry your hair in the opposite direction even if it's dried itself. What I mean by do it in the opposite direction is put the hair dryer at the bottom of your hair and dry it upwards.

Whilst doing this, use some hairspray and spray your whole hair to give it a ruffled look.

And that's it! Simple:) I'm thinking about doing some youtube videos/tutorials, email me what you think!! I hope this helped a few people, thanks for reading. Amelia x

Skin care products

Hey guys, I realised the other day that I've got quite a few skin care products. So, I thought why not do a post about them. There's a quite a lot of similar things by the way but I've decided I might aswell show you them all.

First I want to show you my gel washes. They basically all do the same thing but I find that Simple is the best for my skin as it's very sensitive. So if you have sensitive skin then I highly recommend Simple products. Simple's Refreshing Facial Wash Gel, contains multi-vitamins and gentle cleansers to keep the skin 'cleansed and revived'. It costs £3.25 and can be found here.

The Garnier Fresh Clarifying Wash is a deep cleanser and it's designed for combination to oily skin. It should be used in the morning and on a night for best results. It is also recommended to use a moisturiser straight afterwards to keep the skin hydrated.

Finally, the Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit Daily Scrub works really well for spots that haven't reached the edge of the skin yet. I tend to use this in the shower because the heat opens up the pores in the skin and helps to absorb the product. So whenever you feel a spot coming on, slap some of this on your face! This can be found here and the retail price is £4.95.

Now onto the masks! Both of these masks are my absolute favourite! The Warming Mineral Mask from The Body Shop is a clay treatment which is a little cloggy at first, but once it's applied to the skin it's a lot easier to work with. This mineral mask contains Ginger, Cinnamon oils and Algae to invigorate, purify and condition the skin. However this costs £10 which is slightly pricey, but it's such good quality and it works a treat! This can be found here.

Cupcake Fresh Face Mask costing £6.25 from Lush, is the perfect treatment for spots. It looks horrible and it has a funny chocolatey/minty smell but don't be afraid to use it, because its the best spot treatment that I have for my skin. You need to use quite a lot because it runs out of date really quickly and when it does, it makes it a lot harder to apply - instead of it spreading on your face easily, it rolls up into little balls. So make sure you get it used up within the sell by date. This face mask can be found here

The T- Zone Skin Clearing Face Moisturiser is a recent purchase that I've been using quite frequently, and I've found that the Tea Tree and Eucalyptus really softens my skin. It's great for spots around the t - zone area  - hence the name and I really like it. I use this daily and it keeps my skin hydrated.

This is also a recent purchase from Lush that costs £6.95 which I absolutely LOVE - it gets deep into the skin and removes the dirt. I use this on a night to remove the make up that the face wipes haven't removed or I put it on before I apply my make up, to get rid of any muck and natural oils that could be hanging around. This can be found here.

And that's all of my favourite skin care products that I have to show you:) Hope you enjoyed reading, Amelia x

April Wardrobe Favourites

Hello everyone! I know there's probably not a great deal of people reading this at the moment, as I've only just become a member of the blogging world but as the weather is starting to brighten up and its edging towards summer I thought I would do a post of my April wardrobe favourites.

So my absolute favourite of this month is this cute flowery dress from TK Maxx found here for £15, however if you're wanting to purchase this dress, they only have sizes available in 10 and 14. If you live near a store then it might be worth looking, because sometimes they don't have any stock of your size online but there might be the odd one or two in store. It it classed as a 'Fit n' Flare' dress, so for the ones who don't know what that is, it's just like a skater dress but it's slightly more fitted and it just simply 'flares' out at the bottom instead of having pleats in.

Now, I've been a cheat here and added these shorts to this post which I actually bought from Primark last year I think for a few quid. But they have added themselves to this months favourites collection. They are the comfiest pair of shorts I own as they are loose fitting so they are perfect for summer. These shorts aren't in stock anymore but there are many similar ones.

It's been a really warm, sunny day today, so I took the opportunity to wear my shorts and chill on my new beauty that my mum bought JUST for me. I didn't think she would stick to the rule of it belonging to me only haha, but surprisingly she has! She hasn't even tried it yet.. Anyway, I even took my revision outside with me and just about managed to revise whilst tanning. I caught the sun, just a tad, but there's no major tan lines as it is only England and for some reason i don't seem to tan much at home.

I've just put this into perspective and I've realised that this is the first fashion scarf that I have actually purchased... well my mum has! So yeah, I absolutely love it because it's my favourite pattern - aztec! It's also my favourite colour aswell and the majority of my clothes are black and white (how boring) so it's great for me because it goes with almost all of my clothes. Usually, you would think to wear a scarf in the winter season to keep you warm, but this quirky little scarf is made out of a thin material, so it's awesome for this time of year, as it's not quite bikini weather yet. This was bought in Primark the other week so you'll still be able to get your hands on it!

I'm being naughty again and showing you my all time favourite pair of 'treggings' from Topshop. These were £28 a couple of months back, so you can't get them anymore, but again, there are loads more gorgeous trouser-leggings on their website. They are really tightly fitted and fit to your body perfectly, like a second layer of skin. They are great for winter because they are really thick, but the only problem is you have to wear a plain piece of clothing on the top, otherwise it all looks too busy.

This is a top that I recently bought from New Look for £10, which can be found here. It's actually from the teens section. I never buy from there, I only ever buy from the adults section, because i never see anything that I like. So as I was going into the changing rooms to try on a top, this one caught my eye that someone had returned and placed on the shelf, so I tried it on and I actually liked it more than the first one that I picked up, so I bought it. I love this top because it's so casual and I can wear it with anything.

Surprisingly, I bought this cute, and colorful, summery bralet from H&M roughly about last year and I absolutely loved it, I couldn't get enough of it! Then i went through a phase of really disliking it, but now its in my favourites wardrobe collection again. I don't know how or why I've started to like it again, but it's perfect for nights out on holiday. You can wear it with practically all pieces of clothing; skirts, shorts, jeans, or leggings. I tend to wear it with a skirt when i'm on holiday because obviously in hot weather, it's the most comfortable thing to wear.

And finally, the last one - the black and white stripy long sleeved crop top from H&M. I can't seem to find it online, so I can't share the link, sorry! But I know it's still available to buy in shops because I saw it last week. Also I can't remember the exact price, but I know it was around £15. Anyway I love this crop top because its really tight fitting so I don't have to worry about anything falling down etc, and I love the fact that it's black and white so you can wear absolutely anything with it to add a bit of colour to the outfit.

So I really hope you enjoyed reading this, if you have any questions or anything email me at amelia08@hotmail.co.uk and let me know your thoughts on my blog so far, and how i can improve. I'm also hoping to start posting some videos, but I need you guys to help, so yeah send me a quick email with any ideas. Thanks for reading, oh and here's an extra photo that I forgot about. The turquoise crop top with flower print from Bank for £12 can be found here.
P.s. - ignore the dirty mirror;)
